Food is one of our most immediate healing resources. In fact, our only two sources of qi (energy) are food and the breath. If you’re tired, you may need to add some new foods to your diet. Whatever condition you are in, we can offer targeted nutritional therapies that may alleviate pain, inflammation, insomnia, constipation, obesity, addiction, depression, and so on. Knowing more about the energetics of food, vitamins, and minerals, and what specifically works best for you is one of the best investments you can make in your lifetime.

And the beauty is, it’s not hard. We focuse on what we can add over what we take away. It’s all about harmonizing your internal compass to recognize what feels good and what doesn’t, allowing you more freedom of choice and greater strength from how you eat.

Chinese Herbs

There are thousands of herbs in the Chinese materia medica, of which about 300 are commonly used. Chinese herbs are extremely effective and normally have only mild side effects. We will coordinate with your current list of medications and supplements in order to avoid any unwanted interactions.

Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to symptoms associated with cancer.

The products used at Sagebrush are all from companies certified with GMP or Good Manufacturing Practices. This means they are lead-free and have passed all FDA standards and approvals.

Power comes from the ability to balance and flow as well as shift perspectives. Yoga therapeutics can aid many conditions from insomnia to anxiety, from depression to hyper-attention-deficit-disorder. Caution: it is habit-forming.

The goal of yoga is happiness. The path is the breath. The bridge is the body. By clearing mind and body, the spirit has a place to dwell without tension. By connecting mind and body, the heart has a clear vision and the tongue speaks sweetly. With gentle words come gentle actions, and the world becomes a kinder place to be. Practicing yoga daily changes the way we inhabit the body and thus our senses are open to the expansive beauty that permeates this world.

Owner Savannah Barnes is a long time practitioner and instructor of Yoga. She has been blessed with several great teachers, and her path has evolved through Iyengar and Ashtanga back into pure Hatha. Yoga has helped her correct her own scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, and multiple sclerosis.
